Welcome to the expedition. It is our belief that reasoned discussion often leads to inspiration and a depth of understanding that would not otherwise come about. While we take this journey to knowledge seriously, we do not want to lose our sense of humor nor do we wish to jump to early, poorly considered conclusions. We encourage you to join with us in your favorite area(s) of interest and provide your questions or your expertise. Please keep an open mind and do not make or accept personal attack (doing so will result in loss of privileges). We reserve the right to edit all posts for content, grammar, language or length. | How hard it is? |
I have been very busy this summer and have been remiss in my responsibilities to this and other sites. My apologies. But summer vacation is now over and it is time to get back to the business at hand. As I write this I am listening to the Coast to Coast AM radio program and a computer expert is explaining how encryption is necessary to make the Internet secure. Of course, we all know that encryption is available to terrorists and that decryption is available to the Government watchdog agencies that are charged with keeping them in check.
If we believe the Government propaganda on the events of 9/11/2001 then we must believe that untrained people hijacked very hi-tech equipment to make a very low-tech attack on the World Trade Center in New York. Of course, we know that is |

| Under what constitution? |
Until recently, the Constitution of the United States of America has kept this country a free nation. The Constitution is a unique document. It doesn’t establish power in the government, it limits it. For endless centuries governments have oppressed their peoples and dealt harshly with dissenters. The framers of the Constitution had a better idea. They thought the government should serve the people, not the other way around as was the custom.
This generation has lost sight of the fact that noble positions are seldom filled by noble people. A systematic effort over a very long period of time has left us where we started, with a king and his court of simpletons ruling at their whim. It has grown so blatant that they no longer even pretend to care what we think.
Congress has relinquished it’s power and authority to oversee foreign affairs, ratify treaties and declare war to one man. That one man answers to foreign bankers, not |

| The blind leading the blind |
The Bible says, “Can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the ditch?” [Luke 6:39] We often hear this quotation from political sources and radio talk show hosts regarding one or another political group, movement or leader.
One hears it from the pulpits of most religions regarding the adherents to other religious denominations or beliefs.
It seems a universal truth that no matter who you are or where you live or what you believe, you are privy to information not available to others, no matter how dedicated or devout they may believe themselves to be. |

| I love radio |
I'm an old time radio fan. I listened to 'Our Gal Sal', 'Tarzan', 'Sky King' and 'Fibber McGee and Molly' as they aired originally. Guess I'm aging myself but those were the days.
As a teenager I rode around in my car, burning gas at about $.17 a gallon, and listened to Garner Ted Armstrong, Melvin Munn from Dallas and Paul Harvey. I admired their command of the English language and their ability to make a point that made you believe that they were talking from Mt. Sinai.
I later went into radio as talent. Quite by accident. It seems that I had the ability to read cold copy off a Teletype Model 15 without stammering. I spent a number of |

| Member vetting. . . |
Once again I have spent the morning deleting trash from the system placed there by moronic porn spammers. Since the registration system has, in the past, only verified an E-mail address it has been possible for these creeps to logon undercover of darkness and vandalize the system. No more. It will now be necessary for new members to be authorized by the system administrator before access is permitted. This process should be accomplished within 24 hours of application. Sorry for the delay but this system isn't large enough to justify the time spent in keeping it clean. |

| Good ol' days. . . |
It is said, and rightly so, that southerners live in north Florida and northerners live in south Florida. Likewise it is that older people live in the present and really old people live in their childhood. I had fallen into the latter group in both cases though I no longer live in Florida.
One of the advantages of reliving your childhood is that while you can’t remember the name of the people you see everyday, you have vivid flashes of times past when life was easier and more fun. All was right with the world. A time when the only responsibility you had was to clean your plate and be home before dark.
I had such a flashback the other day. I was trying to remember the name of a |

| Good link |
I have added a permanent link to Project Gutenberg in the lefthand column. Project Gutenberg is designed to bring public domain literature to the masses via an Internet connection. It is an invaluable aid to research as well as just recreational reading with the works of Twain, Appleton and Melville among thousands of others.
Each work is available separately and in various formats such as HTML, plain text or audio read by a computer. The HTML version can, of course, be read with a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. The audio is available in MP3 and other formats and will play through your normal audio player software. Personally, I like the plain text format which can be read with any vanilla ASCII text editor. |
